The Academic Affairs Office oversees all academic-related matters at Penn State Altoona. The Academic Affairs budget supports almost all undergraduate credit instruction and provides support services for all academic programs offered at Penn State Altoona. The vice chancellor for academic affairs is responsible for hiring and supervising faculty, developing and delivering academic programs, supervising academic services, and providing support to faculty and staff who develop requests for external funding of research, teaching, and service.
The associate dean for policy and planning heads the Office of Planning and Institutional Research and supports faculty and staff with institutional research, strategic planning, policy, and assessment needs. The associate dean also oversees the Student Success Center.
